Formerly known as La Sombra, Almas was a huge sensation in Mexico and many believed him to be the next breakout Lucha star after Rey Mysterio.
Breaking Vince Russo and Jim Cornette update HERE.
Almas recently lost the NXT Championship to Aleister Black at NXT Takeover: New Orleans and has been moved to Smackdown as part of the Superstar Shakeup, although he is yet to make his debut on the Blue Brand.
Mysterio and Almas are both Mexican icons; and with Mysterio returning for GRR, it would be great to see a showdown between them which would hopefully lead to a match in the future, where Mysterio can pass on the torch to Almas as the flag bearer of Lucha wrestling in WWE.
