The last episode of WWE's A show, Monday Night Raw, could very well be a landmark event in the history of the company. With the McMahon family taking full control of both shows this week, it might be the start of a new era, a new revolution in WWE.

With the degrading viewership and quality of the WWE product, this was totally on the cards. Well, to be honest, it was a bit underwhelming as fans were hoping for so much more when they tuned in for the special announcement of Vince McMahon this week on Raw.

However, one should appreciate the mere fact that WWE has finally realised its mistake and is actually making an effort to bring about some changes to enhance the quality of the product.

On another note, apart from the McMahons taking over Raw and SmackDown, plus WWE teasing the main roster debut of a few NXT Superstars, there wasn't any other noteworthy announcement. However, we might get to witness WWE making some major changes, as they march forward in this so-called new era.

We look at 4 of such interesting changes Vince should make as part of this new revolution.

#4 Start listening to the fans and push the right guys

Well, fans are an integral part of every sport, let alone WWE. And one of the major reasons for the recent downfall of the WWE is due to being non-responsive to the WWE Universe.

WWE has quite a history when it comes to pushing the wrong guys in the title picture. While the wrong guys are pushed at the top, the fan favourites with both talent and momentum get undermined.

How can one expect the fans to tune in to watch their guys getting dominated and undermined each and every week?

Thus it is high time Vince becomes responsive to the needs of the WWE Universe, and push the right guys to the top.

#3 Promos should be loosely scripted

We all know what happened when CM Punk featured in the infamous 'pipebomb' promo which was loosely scripted. In spite of being a heel, fans very easily connected with his character, and it launched his career in the main event scene, and made him the megastar he is.

The recent case with Roman Reigns is also no different. One must notice how fans failed to connect with him for the past couple of years, and booed him heavily during his promos, however, when he featured with the unscripted lines to announce his departure due to leukemia, fans connected and cheered him.

Thus, giving the superstar just a basic idea, and a few guidelines for a promo should be one of the major changes Vince should make in this new era.

#2 Unique stipulation matches should happen at regular intervals

Lately, most of the stipulation based matches happen only at specific pay-per-views
Lately, most of the stipulation based matches happen only at specific pay-per-views

For the past few years, WWE has reserved and limited the use of stipulation based matches mostly for specific pay-per-views such as TLC and Extreme Rules.

Gone are the days when steel cage and iron man matches featured on random pay-per-views.

I mean, who does not miss those no holds barred matches, street fight matches, beat the clock challenge, etc. They not only created a sense of urgency among superstars, but would also make the random episode of Raw and SmackDown interesting.

Thus, bringing back those old stipulation based matches on random episodes of Raw and SmackDown would not only spice things up a bit, but would be 'best for business'.

#1 Creating weight divisions

Weight divisions would give talented and underused superstars a chance to shine at the top level
Weight divisions would give talented and underused superstars a chance to shine at the top level

While a variety of combat sports like MMA, Boxing, etc have different weight divisions, WWE does not have any such weight classes.

Given the vast roster of WWE, some of the talented performers get underused and undermined by the creative. And so a proper weight division could solve that problem to some extent.

Though weight class would have its own pros and the cons, the pros seem to outweigh the cons by some distance. Weight divisions would give a large number of talented superstars an opportunity to shine at the top level.

We can have the likes of Finn Balor, Cesaro, John Cena, and Braun Strowman holding the WWE Championship at the same time in different weight divisions, plus another set of superstars fighting them at the top card for the championship.

Yes, it would reduce the possible feuding options for a superstar, and deprive us of a few dream matches. However, to solve that situation, WWE could have superstars of the respective divisions going up against each other at certain pay-per-views like Survivor Series or WrestleMania.
