#4 Randy Orton

Personally, I've never been a fan of Randy Orton. Sure he looks like the 'prototypical WWE superstar', but I prefer wrestlers over superstars. I also prefer guys that have evolved and adapted their games and styles rather than perform the same match over and over again.
But to each their own, and if you're a fan of his, good for you. We all have our favorites. Orton has seemed to be on the outskirts of SmackDown all year, popping up here and there to RKO someone. He was more visible during the build to his WrestleMania match with AJ Styles.
The reason why he is one of the less appealing options to win MITB is because he has already won a MITB match. It was nearly six years ago, but the fact is he currently represents 'the Old Guard' of WWE superstars along the likes of John Cena, the Big Show and the Hardyz.
Sure, they're good for pushes every now and then, but if you are giving pushes to these types instead of newer and fresher superstars, then you will find yourself in the current situation of having created fewer and fewer new stars.
Having added someone like Black, Rusev, Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn or Buddy Murphy would have been a more exciting option (at least to me) and would have helped WWE sell the 'New Era' promise that was made at the end of 2018. A few new faces are good but more new faces would have been more exciting.
