#2 Signing The Elite with creative control

Could it happen in a WWE ring?

Cody Rhodes left WWE in 2016. Since then he has performed almost everywhere on the independent circuit. Presently he works for NJPW and ROH, and is a member of Bullet Club.

However, in recent months Bullet Club has splintered into separate groups. Cody is a core member of The Elite, alongside The Young Bucks, Marty Scurll, Kenny Omega, and Hangman Adam Page. Collectively they have generated immense following in Japan.

Cody has progressed immensely since leaving WWE. He has garnered mainstream popularity in ROH and NJPW, and he has earned multiple championships. However, his best success was the organising and running of the All In PPV. It was the first 10,000 seat PPV to sell out since the days of WCW. Ultimately it caused massive waves in the industry.

Recently news broke that Cody's contract ends in January 2019. Moreover, speculation became rife that he is headed to WWE (see video below). Presently there is no exact confirmation of a WWE return. However, with The Elite's immense success, WWE needs to sign them, but it should be with full creative control.

The potential of this signing is exponential. Specifically with current WWE wrestlers having a history with Bullet Club. Notably former leaders - Finn Balor, AJ Styles, and Adam Cole. The New Day also have connections with The Elite, which was extremely exciting (see video below). Ultimately WWE needs to sign The Elite.
