Later in 2016, Sasha Banks was once again involved in a promo segment with Charlotte Flair and this time they were interrupted by the Bulgarian Brute, Rusev. Both the ladies kicked Rusev out of the ring after he joked about the women's division. However, later it was revealed that Rusev will be teaming up with Charlotte to take on the team of the United States Champion Roman Reigns and Sasha Banks.

This tag team match turned out to be a lopsided affair as both the face superstars hit their respective finishing moves and won the match for the team. The finish of this match was one of the best finishes to a mixed tag team match as we had Sasha Banks locking Charlotte Flair in a Banks Statement in the ring and Roman Reigns flying over them to spear Rusev.
