#2 Myth: Baron Corbin is late to the wrestling business

Baron C
Baron Corbin has been on WWE's main roster since April 2016

Whether WWE likes it or not, die-hard wrestling fans tend to gravitate towards independent stars (Finn Balor, Kevin Owens etc) over unknown performers who have been handmade by the company (Roman Reigns, Baron Corbin etc).

In the case of Corbin, the man himself has said in media interviews how he is often perceived by fans to be a former football player who didn’t care much for wrestling before he joined NXT in 2012.

However, giving a rare insight into his days as a childhood wrestling fan, Corbin said on Talk Is Jericho in July 2017 that he used to watch WWE with his father when he was growing up.

The former United States champion revealed how he was a fan of Superstars like Big Boss Man, Vader, and The Undertaker, while his dad was a big Kamala fan.
