4 options for Nia Jax at WrestleMania 34

Nia-Mania.

With Nia Jax failing to defeat Asuka at the Elimination Chamber PPV last week, the Irresistible Force is currently without a role at this year's WrestleMania. WWE would be foolish to exclude such a promising talent from the event, especially given the momentum Nia has slowly been building for herself over the past 12 months

With several weeks of build still to go, one would hope that Jax will join the road to WrestleMania at some point, but the question is, what form will this take?

Here are four options for Nia Jax, heading into New Orleans.

#1 Special guest referee for Alexa Bliss vs Asuka

I've got a crazy idea...
I've got a crazy idea..

While it would be a shame for Nia to miss out on the in-ring action at WrestleMania, having her be a central part of an important title match might be the next best thing for her. While the eyes of the world are on Alexa and Asuka as they battle it out for the RAW Women's Championship, Nia could also be thrown in as the special referee or enforcer for the match.

This wouldn't be such a random addition either. Nia was a mere second away from being inserted into the bout as a competitor when she faced the Empress of Tomorrow at the Elimination Chamber last week.

She has also enjoyed a long partnership of sorts with Bliss both on and off screen over the past year. Nia's involvement could tell a very effective narrative given these circumstances.

The most logical story to be told here is that Jax might end up costing Asuka the match by helping her best friend retain her title. Given the intrigue already surrounding this meeting, with Asuka's undefeated streak on the line as well as the belt, why not add another layer of drama into the mix?

#2 Entering the Andre the Giant Battle Royal

Nia vs. the men?
Nia vs the men?

As far as we know, the same rules that govern the Royal Rumble match also apply to the annual Andre the Giant Battle Royal, namely that you don't have to be a male to enter. Before the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match was aired earlier this year, we had the likes of Beth Pheonix and Karma shock the world by attempting to punch their ticket to the WrestleMania main event in separate Rumble bouts.

A way to really push Nia Jax into the spotlight this year would be to have her enter the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, face 29 male competitors and pick up a good number of eliminations.

If nothing else, this will be the kind of WrestleMania moment for the Irresistible Force that she wouldn't be able to capture with a random throwaway match against somebody on the female roster. People would be talking about her for weeks after the event, and whether those comments are positive or negative, it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

This is not to say Nia needs to win the match, but having her go through to the final four would be quite the statement that, as her theme song suggests, she's not like most girls.

#3 Dream match with a legend

Better than a title match?
Better than a title match?

When it comes to giving WrestleMania moments to your most important Superstars, the first point of call is usually one of the World Championships. If this is not possible, the next best thing is to place them in a dream match with a name from the past.

There have been many examples of this over the years. Look at The Rock at WrestleMania 18 when he faced the Immortal Hulk Hogan and stole the show from Triple H and Chris Jericho. CM Punk also made his greatest impact on the 'Show of Shows' by facing The Undertaker at WM 29.

If Nia is not going to get the heat and attention normally associated with the championship title, why not place her in a dream match of her own?

This option seems quite apt at the moment given the fact that we've just seen a Women's Royal Rumble match with big names from the past returning. Nia seemingly has countless options to choose from and the WWE should really cash in on this opportunity.

Of the list of options, some of the names that spring to mind instantly are Michelle McCool, Nikki Bella, Molly Holly and Kelly Kelly - to name a few.

However, the real money would definitely lie with one of the three Hall of Famers that took part in the match last month. Pitting Nia Jax against either Beth Pheonix, Lita or Trish Stratus would certainly be the most sensible option, and would also allow her to pick up a signature victory as not a lot will be gained or lost by having the Attitude Era stars go over.

Nia Jax vs The Glamazon? We're definitely up for that!

#4 Joining The Authority and facing Ronda Rousey

Plan B.
There's always a Plan B

At the time of writing this, it seems pretty clear that the WWE is aiming for some kind of programme involving Ronda Rousey and The Authority at WrestleMania 34. There have been two promo segments involving the three so far, with The Game even going through a table at the hands of the former UFC Superstar.

The most likely option at the moment seems to be a tag team match with Stephanie and Triple H going against Rousey and Kurt Angle. There is definitely a storyline brewing but the jury is still out on whether this is the right option.

While the names involved make this a special affair on paper, can Stephanie McMahon really be trusted to compete in one of the most important matches on the card? Given the rules of a mix tag team match, Ronda will only be able to wrestle against her, and it's unclear whether she will be able to showcase her true skills against somebody with only middling wrestling ability.

Another option here would be to insert Nia Jax into the Stephanie role. The Authority has always been effective at manipulating people into doing their bidding, and it would make complete sense for the pair to have somebody like Jax in their corner.

This would make the contest a lot more even and Stephanie would be able to stick to what she does best, barking orders from ringside.
