#1 Samoa Joe must become WWE Champion

During their tenure in Impact Wrestling (then TNA), AJ Styles and Samoa Joe built a storied history. They would war over the X-Division championship, also involving Christopher Daniels. Then in later years, fought for the World Championship. Their interaction brought immense drama and excitement.

In 2015, Joe made his debut for WWE NXT and went on to become NXT Champion. Whereas, Styles joined WWE in 2016, debuting at the Royal Rumble. Since their arrival, they have dominated their competition. However, Styles has garnered more Championship success, with Styles being a two-time WWE Champion.

Earlier this year, Joe and Styles began their dramatic feud. Since then, every week has afforded a new twist. At WWE Super Showdown Styles defeated Joe, seemingly culminating their feud.

On October 30th Joe attacked Styles following a gruelling WWE Championship match with Daniel Bryan. Following the attack Styles requested revenge, which Paige obliged. They collide at Crown Jewel.

Styles and Joe always generate exciting matches. Their chemistry is second to none. Moreover, their storytelling is akin to past feuds. Notably, Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. At Crown Jewel, Joe needs to become champion. Firstly, Styles has had a lengthy reign. Secondly, Joe deserves championship success since leaving NXT. What could fans expect?
