4 possible roles for The Undertaker at the Royal Rumble

Who will answer to the reaper?

The Undertaker made a spine-chilling appearance at the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw at the Manhattan Center and addressed the WWE Universe with a promo that left everyone completely baffled. The fans and critics alike have not been able to speculate what the Dead man actually tried to convey on his return to Raw - was it a warning or was it a farewell speech?

Despite the conflicting opinions surrounding the Phenom's future, rumors have been swirling around speculating that the Undertaker is still not done and would likely make an appearance at the Royal Rumble this Sunday. Well, if the legend shows up this Sunday, the question is - who will answer to the reaper?

Here are the possible roles that the Undertaker could have at the Royal Rumble

#4 Announces his return to the Grandest Stage of them All

The Phen
Will The Phenom have a match at WrestleMania?

If the WWE does not want the Undertaker to compete at the Royal Rumble, they could just have him shock the WWE Universe at the start of the show by walking down that aisle and put the whole locker room on notice with a spine-chilling warning. The fans have been disappointed with the way he was presented at Raw 25. In order to rectify this, the WWE could have another promo by the Deadman where he puts out his desire to have a final match at 'the Grandest Stage of them All'.

The Undertaker could bring a lot of mainstream attention to the WWE and would definitely kick off the Road to Wrestle Mania in splendid fashion. He gravitates the fan's attention and a promo where he announces his return and teases the possibility of his next target could be pure gold. Either way, the Dead man is likely to return this Sunday.

#3 Unites with Kane one final time and decimates Braun Strowman

The Brothers of Destruction could unite for the final time

Now, this is a possibility that happens after the Universal Championship match is over with Brock Lesnar giving a vicious F-5 to Kane and pinning him. Braun Strowman who will definitely be displayed in a strong manner as an unbeatable monster could attack 'the Big Red Machine' after the match. Considering that this might be the last time we see Kane in a main event picture, since it has been rumoured that he is retiring, it would be an ideal platform for the Deadman to show up & reunite with his brother to annihilate Braun Strowman.

This clash could definitely be money if it happens again. Imagining the Brothers of Destruction choke slamming 'the Monster Among Men' through the table. This would not only be monumental, but could also result in a match at 'the Grandest Stage of them All'.

There is also a possibility that Kane might retire this Sunday and it would be the best way to send him off, by having his on-screen half brother beside him for the final time.

#2 The Phenom returns to reclaim his yard

Yo
The Dead man will reclaim his yard.

WrestleMania 33 ended in a disappointing manner when Roman Reigns faced the Undertaker in a dull match and went on to defeat him. The defeat gave rise to speculations that 'the Phenom' might have retired from in-ring competition and probably never come back. But the fact that the Undertaker is rumoured to have another match at the Superdome this year could lead to him making a shocking return to the Royal Rumble to destroy Roman Reigns.

If WWE are able to book this right, then it would be definitely appreciated by all the fans and critics around the world. There could be a possibility where 'the Big Dog' enters the Royal Rumble and continues to destroy his opponents only to be interrupted by the Deadman who would eliminate him & reclaim his yard by decimating him. It cannot be argued that Roman Reigns is the top guy chosen by WWE, but he will never be the Undertaker.

#1 Enters the Royal Rumble and eliminates John Cena to kickoff a feud

It
It's about time that these two collide

This is the most likely prospect- the possibility of seeing a dream match come to life that would not only bring a lot of mainstream attention to WWE but would also be a commendable send-off to the Undertaker.

Since, the Deadman is very unlikely to win the Royal Rumble even if he does take part in it, it would be ideal to have him enter at a time when 'the 16- time World Champion' is on a roll eliminating other superstars and clearing the ring. This confrontation would be monumental and the fact that the Undertaker eliminates John or vice versa, could be the very beginning of a match we all have been waiting to see.

Will the Franchise answer to the Reaper? We'll just have to wait and watch.
