Feel free to hate on me for this comment, but Reigns deserves a run with the Universal title. Whether fans accept that or not is a different matter.

Reigns has been one of the most consistent main-eventers in the WWE for the last two years, and with Brock having destroyed everyone else on the roster with ease, Reigns is the smartest option to be the one who dethrones him.

There is an argument to be made that Braun Strowman should be the one who defeats Brock, and while he is undeniably more popular than Roman, he is not as good in the ring, and frankly, he doesn't need the belt to be over.
Reigns as champion will open the door to some excellent matches. He has a great track record with the likes of Finn Balor and Samoa Joe, and seeing him go up against his former Shield team-mates never fails to entertain.
Reigns knows how to work a great match, and him being champion will elevate other talents, not damage them in the way that Lesnar's reign has done.
