#2 To make Ambrose put over younger stars before he leaves (in case he's leaving)
We all know about Dean Ambrose's current 'contract situation'. He might leave WWE when his current contract ends after WrestleMania. In case Dean Ambrose does indeed leave WWE after WrestleMania 35, the best thing WWE can do with the 'Lunatic Fringe' in the meantime is to have him put over some younger stars and give them the rub.
Despite WWE creative not giving Ambrose much to bite on in the last year, he's still one of the most popular Superstars of the modern era and fans definitely view him as a top guy even if management doesn't.
Instead of keeping Dean Ambrose off television for the next couple of months, it would be much more prudent to use him to put over guys like Buddy Murphy, Lio Rush and Chad Gable.
