4 reasons why Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar will be better than fans think

Will Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns be better this time?

What a difference a few years make!

While WWE is still facing a lot of criticism for wanting to do a rematch between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34, its hard not to admit that the company is in a much better situation then they were four years. Of course a lot of that has to do with the way they have booked Reigns over the past year, but there are definitely other reasons as well.

With that being said and the various intangibles that surround the rematch between Reigns and Lesnar at WrestleMania 34, here are four reasons why the match will actually be worth watching this time. In fact, fans might even find themselves cheering on The Big Dog if WWE continues to play their cards right throughout this feud.

#4 Probably won't be the main event

WrestleMania 34,
Hopefully Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns won't be the main event this year.

Believe it or not, a lot of the flak that this match received last time from the WWE Universe was based off the fact that the match was the main event of WrestleMania 31. Of course that wasn't the only reason the match was completely despised, but it is a good starting point and something that WWE will be able to fix this time.

With that being said and the blockbuster main event match that WWE seems to have planned between Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles at WrestleMania 34, the company will be able to give Reigns a crowning moment without making it the absolute focal point of The Show of Shows.

In fact, WWE did this last year with Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg. While the match was relatively short for a title bout, it received a decent reaction due to the fact that it wasn't the entire build of the show. In the end, not having Reigns vs Lesnar as the main event is a smart idea and could lead to a positive reaction for Reigns this time around.

#3 Possibility of Lesnar's title reign coming to an end

It seems WWE is doing everything possible to make a Roman Reigns victory at WrestleMania a good thing and what better way to do that than allow Reigns to finally be the one to take the Universal Title off of Brock. Not only does doing so give Reigns the very first Universal Title reign of his career, it also ends Lesnar's reign at about the year mark.

With the WWE Universe desperate for a change, WWE will look to use this fact to their advantage and try to get fans excited about the prospect of the red belt finally changing hands. Whether it works or not is up to how WWE books the storyline between the two titans, but it at least hints at the possibility of something new!

#2 Possibility of Brock Lesnar leaving WWE

Brock Lesnar,
Is Brock Lesnar heading back to The Octagon?

All good things must come to an end and while Brock Lesnar is arguably one of the biggest box office draws in WWE history, he also doesn't have a lot left to accomplish inside the squared circle. Unfortunately for WWE, that and Lesnar's desire to step back into the octagon means that the company could lose one of their biggest stars this year.

Whether Lesnar actually leaves WWE or not remains to be seen and will be highly dependent upon the contract negotiations that The Beast Incarnate has with backstage officials. With that being said, this adds an extra level of intrigue to the match between Lesnar and Reigns, which very well could be Lesnar's last WrestleMania ever!

WWE essentially has two options here. Go forward and try to cement Reigns as their golden boy and big box office draw, or give Lesnar whatever he desires in order to keep him for a longer period of time. In the end, both sides have their pros and cons, but it will be interesting to see how their match at 'Mania plays out, with Lesnar's contract almost up.

#1 First meeting since beating The Undertaker

Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns,
Both men have beaten 'The Streak', but who will reign supreme at WrestleMania 34?

It all comes down to this. Both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns have defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania and while that probably won't play into the storyline all that much, it will be interesting to see which streak-breaker WWE actually decides to push to the top.

Again, it most likely won't be a focal point of the storyline between Reigns and Lesnar, but it is impossible not to admit that this stat will be playing through the fans' minds. Not only that, it might also be WWE's last chance to put the two men that beat the streak in a match together, since Lesnar will most likely be leaving after this.

In the end, it is stats like these that will give Reigns vs Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 that extra shot in the arm it needs to be a great match. With that being said, and the fact that WWE has this and various other points to focus on during this feud, it might turn out to be one of the most anticipated matches in a long time.
