The Universal Title is still not regarded by many WWE fans as a legitimate World Title, even though legends such as Goldberg and Brock Lesnar have held it, and most of that is due to WWE's booking.

#2 Dynamites come in small packages

A mismatch on paper, but a surefire classic if WWE does do the unthinkable.

Almost every wrestling fan expected that the 2018 Royal Rumble pay-per-view to be headlined by Finn Balor and Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title, but when reports circled late last year that Vince McMahon did not think that the first ever Universal Champion was 'over enough,' the WWE Universe predictably lost their minds.

As Balor was a strong merchandise seller, produced excellent matches and garnered the hottest crowd reactions in a period when Raw was struggling to stay relevant. Still, that was not enough in the Chairman's eyes to warrant a rematch Balor never got for a title he never lost.

Therefore, in all honesty, a match between Brock Lesnar and Finn Balor would be evidently mismatched, as on paper Lesnar dwarfs Balorin terms of size, height, and brute force, but in the world of professional wrestling, a match relies on one thing to feel believable, the story.

Balor ascending the ranks of WWE once again is a narrative that has been long overdue, from battling to stay relevant in 2017 to struggling to grasp opportunities in 2018, Finn Balor has lost all his chances to get a one on one opportunity at the Universal Title.

At Extreme Rules 2018, the Universal Title number one contender match already has the likes of Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns in it, and in the eyes of many, they are the favourites to win.

However, if WWE decides to swerve fans and book Balor the man to face Lesnar, they could slowly transition him from a smiling unlucky babyface to a relentless force of nature that knows he has one chance to reclaim whats rightfully his. This conclusion to Lesnar's reign could build up Balor as a legitimate force in WWE, as he was presented down at NXT, and finally reignite the push that he was unfortunately robbed of in 2016.
