There was no more disappointing sight in recent memory than witnessing Brock Lesnar essentially halting the white-hot momentum of Braun Strowman at No Mercy 2017. Throughout the entirety of 2017 Braun Strowman had evolved from brainless follower of Bray Wyatt to a legitimate ass kicker that fans had grown to love, and most that were due to the bulletproof booking he had received from the WWE creative team.

Furthermore, WWE did such an excellent job of painting Strowman as an unworldly force that they had no other choice but to pit him against the second most protected wrestler in the company, Brock Lesnar.

Therefore, their match at No Mercy 2017 was billed by fans as the unstoppable force vs. the immovable object in a battle for supremacy, but WWE booked it as two big men in a sluggish brawl did not fulfil the enormous fan expectations for this supposed dream match. However, now that WWE is set on making Strowman the future of the company as evident by his Money in the Bank ladder match win, it is just a matter of time before Braun crosses paths with Lesnar again.

Whether Strowman announces his cash beforehand or pounces on Lesnar as soon as he sets foot back on Raw, this would be the easiest way WWE can finally validate Strowman as the baddest ass-kicker in the company, and that will finally turn a new fresh chapter in the history of the Universal Championship.
