Had Asuka's streak not existed during the 1st season, this team was set to be crowned the first champions of the Mixed Match Challenge. The in-ring chemistry between the two was the best thing on the entire Mixed Match Challenge.
The two superstars developed a huge fan following due to their performances, and were the center of attraction during the first season.
They defeated the duo of Becky Lynch and Sami Zayn in the first round, before defeating Jimmy Uso and Naomi in the second round to advance to the semifinals of the tournament. They lost to team Awe-ska in the semi-final match, as their campaign came to an end.
Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss were set to team up once again in the 2nd season of the mixed tag team tournament, but an unfortunate injury to Bliss led to Ember Moon becoming Braun's new partner.
