They both raised a great person

When Alexa was born in August 1991, her parents, Angela and Bob, were only young adults. Angela was 18 while Bob was only 17. Both were still too young to be having a child. Which is why they struggled early on.

In a documentary WWE produced, both admitted that they struggled but were committed to raising Alexa (real name Alexis) to the best they can. Much of the problem was money and not having enough to provide.

Her father Bob admitted during the mini-documentary that he was still trying to find his place when he had a whole new challenge ahead of him, raising a child.

#3 Rey Mysterio was her favorite growing up

Rey's legacy has influenced a lot of people.

Alexa was only ten years old when Rey debuted on SmackDown in 2002. She has admitted during interviews in the past that he was one of the first people to grab her attention. He was one of the reasons she was really into gymnastics and uses some high flying moves when she wrestles.

Much like a lot of fans I assume, Rey's colorful appearance and superhero style made him one of her favorites. He could do things no one else could and wore his attire like no one else. That helped her become a fan of wrestling early on in her life.

#2 Bodybuilding helped her through eating disorder

Doctors told Alexa's parents that she only had hours to live because of her eating disorder. Thankfully she was able to overcome that and be able to turn her life around.

Personal trainers Natalie Calland and Mike Davies helped her through her problem and have a healthy weight. Her trainers helped her get a healthy balance between working out and eating healthy every single day.

Alexa would enter the Arnold Classic at one point as well. Her entering that, showed that she had confidence in herself and what she could do in life.

#1 Her wrestling last name (Bliss) came by accident

Bliss sounds like Bless!

We all know where she got the ''Alexa'' part of her name from (her real name is Alexis). But the Bliss part came by accident. Before the all glitter gimmick, the WWE had given her a southern gimmick in NXT. During her promos, she would say ''Bless your Heart''. But with the accent, it sounded like Bliss.

Her name change only happened because of that. She has been able to get phrases like ''Blissed Off'' out of it, so that's good. It was one of the rare occasions where WWE didn't get to pick the name.
