Chris Benoit is a former WWE superstar, and, was one of the best wrestlers to have ever stepped foot inside the ring. He won several championships across the globe, and, defeated some of the best wrestlers of his time. Benoit was loved by the WWE Universe, and, would go to any extent to entertain the fans.

However, despite all his accomplishments, he failed to conquer several major achievements in his career. Had he achieved some of those rare feats, he could have etched his name in history as the greatest wrestler of all time. These feats would remain as a black spot in his otherwise extremely successful career in the professional pro-wrestling industry.

Here are some major unaccomplished feats in his career.

#4 Grand Slam Champion

The Grand Slam is a milestone for any wrestler who wins four individual Championships in the WWE. Two out of those championships should be world titles, and the remaining two could be any of the other promotional titles (formerly and during his time). Benoit won the World Heavyweight Championship once, the United States Championship thrice and the Intercontinental title four times. However, his inability to capture any other world championship gold, failed to crown him as the Grand Slam Champion.

The Grand Slam recognition is a mark of extraordinary talent in the professional pro-wrestling business. Only a handful of wrestlers so far have achieved this unique identity to be recognized as a Grand Slam Champion. Had Benoit's career lasted a little longer, or had he been booked for some other World Championship title matches, he would have also been a Grand Slam Champion in the WWE. A wrestler of his caliber and stature, deserved to be crowned as a Grand Slam Champion

#3 ECW Championship

The Extreme Championship Wrestling World Heavyweight title, was another prestigious Championship, which Chris Benoit could not accomplish during his tenure in WWE. He got drafted to the ECW brand from SmackDown in June 2007. He defeated Elijah Burke, to become the number one contender for the ECW title.

At the Vengeance Pay-Per-View, he was supposed to compete and win the vacant ECW Championship against CM Punk. However, fate had other plans for him, as he did not turn up for the event, and was found dead in his apartment couple of days later.

He could have been an excellent ECW Champion. WWE fans were eager to see their beloved superstar, as the ECW Champion. However, things did not happen as it was planned, and Benoit could not win the title. If he would have won the ECW Championship, he could have been a Grand Slam Champion as well.

#2 Ending the Undertaker's Streak

The Undertaker had an unbeatable record at WrestleMania. He remained undefeated for twenty-three years. Every year someone would try to defeat him at WrestleMania, but they'd come up short. In the end, Brock Lesnar fought valiantly and ended the streak of the 'deadman'. However, the best person who could have ended the streak of the Undertaker, was none other than the 'rabid wolverine' Chris Benoit.

Undertaker vs Benoit at WrestleMania would have been a classic competition. Benoit could have created history, had he been given the chance to break the Undertaker's streak. It could have been a dream match.

It was the best gift the WWE management could have gifted to the fans, if they would have booked a competition between the duo at WrestleMania. Unfortuanately, this remained a major black dot in his otherwise extremely colorful career.

#1 WWE Championship

Even though Benoit had won dozen's of Championships, he could never win the most prestigious title- the WWE Championship. There was never a proper booking or championship pursuit given to Benoit at all. He had all the ingredients in him to become the best WWE Champion of all time.

His in-ring abilities are unparalleled to any wrestler from the past or the present. Benoit could have been a legendary WWE champion. He could have even become the longest reigning WWE Champion ever in the WWE.

He used to rule the hearts of the masses, and he could have easily become the 'people's champion'. There is not an iota of doubt, that Benoit was one of the best of all time, but, had he achieved these milestones, he could have been crowned as the best wrestler ever in the WWE or in any other professional pro-wrestling company.
