Heading to The Show of Shows, Reigns promised that he would put The Undertaker down in his own yard. The WWE Universe was pumped up for the eventual bout, even though the streak had lost its meaning by that point.
At WrestleMania, the two Superstars wrestled in possibly the worst match on the card, with The Undertaker looking like he didn't belong anywhere near a wrestling ring. He looked like a regular old guy during the Rumble match, and things weren't any different at Mania.
The match ended with Reigns pinning The Undertaker with a spear, to a chorus of boos. The Phenom had suffered another loss at Mania, and his 20-year old WrestleMania record had been ruined further.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
