Recently, in typical Matt Riddle fashion, the 33-year-old made a mockery of Hall of Famer, Goldberg. This was in reaction to the 52-year-old’s match at Super Showdown, which was a disaster with the Icon leaving the match not only concussed, but he also managed to botch several moves within the ring. Matt Riddle refused to hold his tongue with respect to the legend. In an interview with Talksport, Riddle claimed he had never been a fan of Goldberg, further stating he used to find him ‘terrible’ back in his peak WCW years.

A feud against the cocky and confident Riddle could be the best retirement feud for Goldberg. His match against Taker showed us quite clearly that the myth of Goldberg is on its last legs. While for Riddle, a win over Goldberg in his debut main roster feud would rocket him to the main event stratosphere that his ability deserves.
