4 WWE Superstars who could form an anti-authority stable on Raw

With Roman Reigns relinquishing his Universal Championship three weeks ago on Monday Night Raw due to a health issue, The Shield, a powerful stable dissolved with him. There has been a constant decline in the Raw viewership, with ratings dropping to less than 3 million. It may decrease further with Roman's departure.

Lately the WWE product has become quite predictable and monotonous, barring a few feuds, the red brand lacks a solid storyline, and a few blockbuster feuds. With Braun Strowman, the apparent top babyface of the company being involved in a not so exciting feud with Baron Corbin, it is high time WWE spiced things up a bit on Raw.

Given the lack of solid storylines and 'The Shield' being done and dusted, one such way of spicing things is to have a few superstars join hands to form a stable - a powerful, anti-authority stable with a solid storyline.

This would not only help a few superstars who seem to be lost in the crowd, but would also increase viewership, and give the fans a break from the predictable WWE product.

So without further ado, I present to you 4 superstars who should join hands to form an anti-authority stable.

#4 Bobby Roode

Bobby Roode was transferred from SmackDown Live to the Raw roster where he is featuring in a tag-team with Chad Gable. However, his stint on the Raw roster has been quite underwhelming. He is not involved in any solid storyline, and seems to be lost in the crowd.

Given the talent and charisma 'The Glorious One' has, he deserves to be in the top ranks on any roster. He would totally be an asset for the stable. It would give his character the proper exposure and momentum it badly needs.

#3 A returning Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn has been sidelined from WWE due to an injury. However, the high-flyer is expected to return by the end of the year.

Given how his friend Kevin Owens fought with Lashley on his behalf, and how he was underutilised by The Authority, which led to his famous 'I quit' promo, Sami Zayn seems a fit in the anti-authority stable upon his return.

On top of that, Kevin Owens is out due to a knee surgery, and is expected to return by next year. However, WWE could have Sami blame The Authority for his injury and vow to end the Stephanie-Corbin era forever.

Given Sami's energy, agility, and passion, his inclusion would add another proven performer to the stable. Also, his return would add that element of surprise and will be 'Best For Business'.

#2 Finn Balor

After making his much awaited debut on the WWE roster, and going on to win the Universal Championship, Finn Balor had to relinquish the title due to injury soon after. However, upon his return, it was expected that he would feature in the main-event scene. But everything did not turn out as expected.

Finn Balor lacks a solid storyline on the Raw roster, and is currently involved in a feud with Bobby Lashley. Given the fan following he enjoys, plus his work in the past, he deserves to be in the main event scene.

However, before that he needs to build momentum, and for that purpose, his inclusion in this list seems apt.

Given how The Authority has mistreated him week after week, Finn would have an agenda against them, and 'The Boss of the Balor Club' could turn out to be a vital cog in the stable.

#1 Kurt Angle

Angle could be the leader-cum-manager of the stable

Given how he was mistreated and sent on a vacation by Stephanie McMahon, Kurt Angle is a guy who seems to have a strong agenda and grudge against The Authority.

Given his ongoing feud with Corbin, WWE could have him form an anti-authority stable secretly, to take down Stephanie and Baron Corbin, and be the leader-cum-manager of the group.

The former Olympic gold medalist could feature on a random episode of Raw to announce his newly formed stable, including members who have a personal agenda to end the 'Corbin-Stephanie era'.

History has shown us on numerous occasions that anti-authority characters prove to be a huge draw. Thus, a newly formed anti-authority stable featuring Finn Balor, Bobby Roode, Sami Zayn, and Kurt Angle as the leader, would not only do wonders to each of their characters, but would also uplift the viewership.
