Former NXT Champion Samoa Joe just recently won his first main roster title, as he was able to win R-Truth's United States Championship. Of course, many people are hoping that this will be the prelude to Joe getting a WWE Championship run on the main roster, which would probably be fantastic.

If he exceeds expectations as WWE's United States Champion, then that could mean one of two things: either they keep him as the US Champ long term, or they get the belt off of him so they can put the WWE Championship on him. Obviously, they could just have him hold both titles at the same time, but that wouldn't be necessary unless WWE just randomly decided that they never want him to lose.
Either way, the future looks bright for Samoa Joe, barring injury of course. Does the bright future involve a World Title run? Only time will tell, but we all know that he certainly deserves one.
