Trent Barreta made his All Elite Wrestling debut back at Double or Nothing when he teamed with Chuckie.T in a tag team match against Jack Evans and Angelico. Barreta and Chuck were able to come out on top in that match which has since lead to a feud with The Dark Order.

Whilst Barreta is definitely not considered to be on the level as the likes of Tye Dillinger (Shawn Spears), Cody Rhodes, Neville (Pac) Jon Moxley or even Chris Jericho, he is still another former WWE superstar who has made his way over to AEW.

Barreta first signed for WWE back in 2008 and was then part of FCW for a number of years, before the developmental territory became known as NXT. The former WWE star made a number of appearances on SmackDown throughout 2010 until 2012 where he would wrestle the likes of Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, and Ted DiBiase Jr.

Barreta was then moved back to NXT until 2013 when it was announced that he had been released from his WWE contract. The American star then made some waves on the independent circuit before he announced that he was signing with AEW back in February 2019.
