It was made official on Monday that Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch will be the final match of the night at WrestleMania 35, marking the first time in WWE history that a match involving women will be the main event of the company’s biggest show of the year.

The following morning, the three WrestleMania opponents sat in an ESPN Sportscenter studio with the Raw Women’s Championship taking pride of place on a table in front of them, and there was no storyline hint that there could be yet another twist with another title being added to the equation.

Fast forward to Tuesday evening and Flair unexpectedly defeated Asuka to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship, becoming an eight-time main-roster women’s champion in the process, and it now looks as though both titles will be on the line in the main event of WrestleMania 35.
