WWE has announced that the Intercontinental Champion, Seth Rollins will face one-half of the RAW Tag Team Champions, Drew McIntyre this week on RAW. The winner will advance to the World Cup tournament.
The Shield has been battling The Dogs of War for weeks now. But throughout their feud, Drew McIntyre has been very carefully protected by the WWE. They have made him look strong, even when his team have taken a defeat, which could be an indication that the WWE might have big plans for the Scottish Giant.
It'll be good to see someone from outside of the US qualify for the World Cup, given the fact that all of the competitors so far are from the USA. McIntyre should pick up the victory here, it would do him a lot of good to win the World Cup.
Drew McIntyre has great potential and it's good to see that WWE has finally recognized that. This might finally be the time when he begins to make steps towards a singles competitor.
