#2 - First ever pedigree lands Triple H in legal trouble

Triple H
Triple H

Triple H has been using the pedigree ever since the start of his WWE career and we are lucky that it was not banned. The move was executed on a jobber back in 1995 and he had no clue how to sell it.

The incident took place back in 1996 - a rough year for Triple H in WWE. This was the 2nd controversy he was involved in that year and it is a good thing that Vince Russo convinced Bruce Prichard and Jim Cornette not to fire The Game.

Marty Garner reportedly was not informed about how the move was to be executed and ended up with a damaged neck. He claimed that he tried to sell it as an upper hook suplex and landed on his head.

He sued the company immediately but luckily for Triple H, it was settled out of court. The move was also not banned by WWE and thus it is still being used by triple H and even Seth Rollins occasionally.
