#2 Sasha Banks

Could a rejuvenated Sasha prove why she is The Boss?
Could a rejuvenated Sasha prove why she is The Boss?

Sasha Banks and Asuka put on, in my opinion, the best non-PPV match of the year so far on Raw last week and a rematch further down the line would certainly get the seal of approval from fans.

Following her heroic rumble performance, Sasha Banks has some serious momentum right now and the WWE would be foolish to let that slip. A heel turn looks to be on the cards for The Boss and if so, the company could easily build her as a dominant heel on Raw while Asuka is away. Having Banks defeat the likes of Bayley, Mickie James, and several other key babyfaces would build a lot of momentum and she could take this into an Interbrand feud with Asuka during the summer.

Asuka's first defeat should really be used to establish someone as a major player in the women's division and while it could be argued that Banks is already at that level, there is another argument to be made that the WWE has still yet to tap into her full potential. Sasha defeating Asuka, then refusing her a rematch, could make a great storyline and also establish Sasha as one of the company's biggest and best heels. The company could extend this feud out until the following Wrestlemania, where Asuka finally gets her chance for revenge and topples Banks. This sort of long-term storytelling is rare in the WWE nowadays but if anything deserves such a long narrative, it's the end of Asuka's streak.
