2. Owen Hart vs The British Bulldog - RAW 1997
WWF introduced the European title to its fans in 1997 with a tournament held across a number of house shows in Germany to crown the first Champion.
The field comprised of the likes of Vader, The Rock and Mankind and even involved a match between Triple H and Bret Hart. But the final came down to a match between Owen Hart and the British Bulldog on an episode of RAW taped from Germany.
Both were heels at the time and were even the reigning tag-team Champions. To add to it, Bulldog was married in real life to Owen's sister. The two produced 15 minutes of mat wrestling classic with the European crowd behind the Bulldog.
The Bulldog played to the crowd and won the title by countering a cradle attempt from Owen, becoming the first ever WWF European Champion.
