#4 Kevin Owens wins the Universal Championship
The inaugural Universal Champion, Finn Balor was injured during his title victory over Seth Rollins at Summerslam 2016.
Balor vacated the belt the next day and one week later the vacant strap was put on the line in a 4-way elimination match pitting Kevin Owens versus Rollins, Big Cass and Roman Reigns.
Owens last eliminated Rollins with a big assist from Triple H to win his first World title in WWE and become only the third man after Rollins and Balor to win the double of an NXT title and a World belt on the main roster.
Although the finish was partially focused on Triple H's betrayal of Rollins, the crowd responded massively to Owens's victory, recognizing the significance of his win.
Owens was positioned as the main man and reigned successfully as Champion for five months.
