The feud between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins after Ambrose made his comeback was phenomenal. Ambrose got a chance to take revenge on Rollins in a Hell in a Cell Match. He walked down the ramp and waited for Seth Rollins on top of the cage with a kendo stick.

Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble accompanied Rollins, who ordered them to climb on top of the cage and attack Ambrose. Ambrose started assaulting both of them, and Rollins joined them on top.

Rollins started descending but was caught by Ambrose, which resulted in both of them falling through the announce table. Rollins pinned Ambrose after Bray Wyatt appeared inside the ring and executed an Uranage slam on Dean Ambrose.

The Money in the Bank Ladder match was fought between Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho, Cesaro and Dean Ambrose. The match wasn't the best match of the night, but the crowd cheered Dean Ambrose as he held the Money in the Bank briefcase and stood tall.

He won the match by knocking Kevin Owens on the ladder bridged between another ladder and the ring corner. The night was significant for him as he cashed-in the Money in the Bank briefcase later that night, and won his first WWE Heavyweight Championship by pinning Seth Rollins.

Dean Ambrose defended his WWE Championship against his former Shield brothers Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. The majority of the WWE Universe believed that they would witness this epic encounter at WrestleMania but were treated to an extraordinary match at a much smaller pay-per-view at Battleground.

Nonetheless, the match lived up to its hype. Dean Ambrose was drafted to Smackdown a few weeks prior to the match, while Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins remained on RAW. The winner would take the title with them to either of the brands.

The match had a lot of back and forth moments along with a few near falls. Ultimately, Dean Ambrose managed to retain his title by pinning Roman Reigns after performing Dirty Deeds on him. This encounter deserved a place at WrestleMania.

The feud between Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho got extreme when Jericho agreed to a match with Ambrose in an Asylum match, a steel cage match with weapons hanging around the cage. Some of the weapons dangling from the cage were a kendo stick, fire extinguisher, broomstick, straitjacket, etc.

Ambrose and Jericho unloaded on each other and made use of all the weapons at their disposal. Dean Ambrose kicked out of a Codebreaker and countered the second Codebreaker by throwing Jericho onto the thumbtacks, then followed it with Dirty Deeds for the win. The match was exceptional as it was the first ever Asylum match and Ambrose came out on top at the end.

The contest was scintillating not only because of the two most gifted wrestlers on the roster but also due to the storytelling and the ending. Dean Ambrose was about to retrieve the belt from the top when James Ellsworth pushed the ladder and Ambrose was thrown outside the ring. This helped AJ Styles retain his title.
