5 better mixed Tag Partners for Ronda Rousey than Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle is just a shadow of his Attitude Era self

It's official. Ronda Rousey has signed with WWE and going forward, RAW will be her home for the foreseeable future, at least. In fact, she even made her official debut this week on RAW. In a span of twenty-four hours, she's grown leaps and bounds as a performer.

From the looks of it, Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey will take on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34. Of course, this will be a match of epic proportions. One just needs to bear in mind that we have many weeks until WrestleMania 34 comes around.

As much as we love Kurt Angle, he's no longer the same guy who gave us all those entertaining moments during the Attitude Era. He's a shadow of the man he once was, as he fumbles lines and makes botches on a regular basis on WWE's flagship show.

In this article, we'll suggest five men who could possibly partner with Ronda Rousey, and make the WrestleMania program absolutely must-watch.

#5 Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins deserves better than an Intercontinental Championship match
Seth Rollins deserves better than an Intercontinental Championship match

The Miz has definitely elevated the Intercontinental Championship and made it seem quite prestigious indeed. However, we think that if Seth Rollins were to compete for the Championship in a multi-man match, it would be a step down for him. He has more momentum than ever before after the Gauntlet match. And he needs to maintain it.

Last year, Rollins put on a performance of a lifetime against Triple H at WrestleMania. It would only be natural for him to team up with Rousey to take The Authority out. Nobody has as much of a bone to pick with them, as Seth Rollins does, honestly.

Rollins is a natural promo and deserves to be in a program of this magnitude. If he were to work the majority of the match with Triple H, it could even hide Rousey and McMahon's inexperience in the ring.

#4 Bobby Lashley

One MMA superstar could team up with another!

While Lashley hasn't fared nearly as well in the world of MMA as Rousey, he is still a name that the WWE Universe is clamoring to see. Yes, he's nowhere as popular a star as Kurt Angle is, but the element of freshness that his arrival will bring in, will be quite immense.

Rumours are rife that Lashley has signed with WWE. Everybody wants him to face Brock Lesnar after The Beast loses the title at WrestleMania 34, but what if Lashley were to be booked on the grandest stage too? Fans would be elated if such were the case.

He's not lost his golden touch yet, at all. Lashley was putting on great matches for Impact Wrestling as recently as January 2018.

Lashley is battle-tested, a familiar face and in the prime of his career, right now!

#3 Braun Strowman

Strowman does not have a WrestleMania opponent, thus far
Strowman does not have a WrestleMania opponent yet

Cast your mind all the way to Survivor Series. If you remember the main event, nobody has as much of a bone to pick with Triple H as Braun Strowman does. We'd even assumed that the two men were due for a clash at WrestleMania. Strowman would be a perfect ally for Ronda Rousey. What an unbeatable unit the two would make!

Right now, Strowman has far greater momentum than Kurt Angle does. He's a star in the making, and it makes sense for WWE to book him in a marquee match, instead of an established Hall of Famer. Strowman would be better used here, than in an Intercontinental Championship match.

#2 The Rock

We could have had the sequel for WrestleMania 31 again!
We could have had the sequel for WrestleMania 31 again!

At WrestleMania 31, The Rock and Ronda Rousey took Triple H and Stephanie McMahon out. If you check out the comments on our Facebook page, you'll know that a majority of our readers want The Rock to return and team up with Rousey, to take on The Authority.

Of course, The Rock has film commitments outside the ring. So this possibility only applies to whether or not he'd be free to come and shoot during WrestleMania. However, in our opinion, he would have been the dream partner for the MMA superstar, by far.

It would have been the final chapter of a story that began at WrestleMania 31. WWE is not often known for continuity, but The Rock's presence would have ensured that a long-term storyline was reaching its logical grand finale.

#1 Shane McMahon

If Daniel Bryan cannot take Shane McMahon on, this should be the match!
If Daniel Bryan cannot take Shane McMahon on, this should be the match!

Shane McMahon, at the age of 47, put on the best match of WrestleMania 33. One could say that you cannot have a bad match with AJ Styles, but in our opinion, it takes two to tango. He had another great match with Kevin Owens at Hell in a Cell, as well. He's certainly in better fighting shape than Kurt Angle is.

Also, think about it. In storyline at least, Shane McMahon hates his sister. He hates his brother in law too, by association, we presume.

Wouldn't he be the most natural fit, as Ronda Rousey's partner, to make this match a high stakes affair, purely from a writing perspective? We think so, at least.

Of course, this is provided Daniel Bryan does not get cleared in time for WrestleMania.
