Kofi Kingston's rise to the top this year was 100% organic and he undoubtedly will have infinite gratitude to the fans for getting louder each week and helping his push to the top. KofiMania was absolutely magical to witness as a fan and his support seemingly grows stronger each week.
Now, here is another problem WWE will face if Randy Orton defeats Kofi Kingston for the WWE title at WWE SummerSlam 2019: There is going to be a lot of backlash from fans. While WWE always loves for heels to get "heat", this won't be the kind of heat that they want. This will be the "go away" kind of heat and that is definitely not what they're looking for.
For all their faults, WWE has been listening to fans this year from a storyline perspective and that's reflected in the fact that we can't complain about any of the titleholders right now.
