One of the strangest botches of the year took place last week on RAW when Shayna Baszler was taking on Sarah Logan in what would later become Logan's final WWE match. The match would see the winner go on to qualify for the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match at the pay-per-view of the same name.
Baszler delivered a thunderous blow to Logan's arm which meant that she was unable to continue with the match so the referee called for the bell and Baszler was the obvious winner. It appears that this news was lost in translation since ring announcer Mike Rome told the empty arena that Sarah Logan was the winner since he must have believed that the match ended via disqualification.
The fact that this was a Money in the Bank qualifying match and Logan was then released a few days later makes it even more shocking, but the commentary team was left to clear up the mess in the moments that followed, where they made it clear that The Cagefighter won the match.
