#3 Lance Archer came face-to-face with the FTW Champion Brian Cage
Lance Archer returned in front of a live AEW audience with full force this week. Archer obliterated a debuting Sean Maluta on AEW Dynamite.
Many will recognize Maluta as a former Cruiseweight Classic competitor, who was completely out of luck against Archer last night. After the match, Jake Roberts made it clear that his client will be the one tossing 20 men over the top rope during the Casino Battle Royal at AEW All Out.
Tazz and his clients, Ricky Starks and Brian Cage, interrupted Archer, since they had a problem with that statement. Soon, Darby Allin made his way into the arena and attacked Starks.
The most intriguing aspect of this scenario has to be Cage and Archer's faceoff. Both AEW wrestlers are heels at this stage, but a battle between two of the biggest and strongest men in AEW sounds interesting.
AEW did a good job in booking the Casino Battle Royal just as good as any other singles feud last night.
As always, Darby Allin's vignettes remain one of the coolest aspects of AEW every week.
