After losing to MJF at the Revolution pay-per-view, Cody Rhodes came out to address his loss in front of the live crowd during last night's episode.
We all know that MJF cheated to beat him, and that is why Cody just couldn't accept the loss without putting up a fight. He called out MJF to the ring, but in an unexpected twist of events, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts answered Cody's call out of nowhere.
The legendary Superstar told Cody to quit whining about an in-ring defeat. You could see how Jake Roberts manages to separate himself from everyone else as a talker even at this stage.
The Hall of Famer revealed that he would bring his client to AEW very soon. They say never to turn your back on a man you fear or respect, but that is exactly what Roberts did after stating the same.
It was a great lesson on how to end in-ring promos perfectly, and now that we have a lot to look forward too, it certainly seems like Jake Roberts and Cody Rhodes got off on the wrong foot here.
