#4: Carmella is the number #1 contender for Bayley's SmackDown Women's Championship

At the end of the episode, Carmella, Dana Brooke, Naomi and Alexa Bliss took part in a Fatal-4-Way match to determine the number #1 contender for the SmackDown Women's Title.

Carmella came out on top by delivering a pair of superkicks and successfully pinning Bliss in an upset win.

This can be viewed as a resurgence for Carmella, who may be involved in a legit feud with the SmackDown Women's Champion after being paired with R-Truth for what almost feels like a year.

Bayley hasn't had the most success in drawing huge attention towards her segments recently, and after feuding with Lacey Evans, her stint with Carmella seems like a random choice at this moment.

At times, WWE tends to pair female competitors for long-term feuds without any major conflict involved in the process.

Carmella's random win may evolve into something bigger later on. But aside from fan support, WWE needs to include even bigger conflicts to create a SmackDown Women's Division that can compare to Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair's star-power over on Monday Night RAW.
