#1 Reigns v Strowman: Role Reversal.
Don't get me wrong. Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman was by no means a missed opportunity this year. Their feud was arguably the feud of this calendar year and surpassed everyone's expectations. Reigns was outclassed for the first time in his career and guess what, the fans loved it!

Braun Strowman's murderous rage as a heel quickly made him a star in the eyes of the WWE Universe. He went from being booed at the start of the year, to get "Thank You Strowman" chants. This eventually resulted in a face turn for the Monster Among Men.
However, Strowman's quick rise as a heel should have led WWE to make a double-turn which could have made Reigns one of the worst heels in history. They had several opportunities to do so, but all ended up futile.
A Reigns heel turn against Strowman could have been the most talked about moment of 2017, but seems like we will have to wait for that heel turn for quite some time.
