#2 Daddy's Home

A blast from the past.
A blast from the past.

Rey Mysterio is a legend of the industry that has nothing left to prove, that is why his return to the company was sort of odd, as many thought the legendary luchador was done with the WWE. But rumours at that time stated that Rey only returned to Vince McMahon's land of giants due to his desire to make a place for his son in the company.

Most of you probably know Mysterio's son Dominick from the infamous custody battle Rey contested with the late great Eddie Guerrero back in the day, which didn't happen in the court of law, but was fought for in a ladder match at Summerslam (crazier things have happened in WWE). Now it seems like Dominick would carry on his fathers legacy by becoming a wrestler in the company.

This has lead to speculation that Dominick could become the target of a seething Samoa Joe this week on Raw, as Joe was pinned by Mysterio last week on Raw. This would be really interesting, as WWE has been building a story around Dominick's dislike for Joe for a long time now, and it would interesting to see how it folds out.

#2 Wyatt Family Reunion

The best addition to Wyatt's creepy show?

Bray Wyatt's return to WWE was nothing like anyone expected, as the former leader of the Wyatt Family ditched his forest dweller gimmick and has now repackaged himself as a twisted kids-show host.

At first this looked like one of WWE's worst ideas, as Wyatt's previous gimmick was perfectly fine, and all he needed was a bit of protection from the creative team to guide him on the path to success, but that was never going to happen. Therefore, this new persona seems like it could be Wyatt striking lightning in a bottle.

The subtle hints in the Fire Fly Funhouse skits of Wyatt being a crazy person are the reason why this new gimmick has been a huge success with the WWE Universe, and according to rumours Wyatt's one-man show could receive a huge boost.

Luke Harper asked for his release from WWE publicly on Twitter, and while many thought Luke was on his way out of the company, it seems WWE is not going to let that happen, as they allegedly don't want their released stars to go to AEW or rival promotions. So could we see Harper and Wyatt work magic on Wyatt's new show this week?
