5 Biggest Shockers WWE Could Be Planning For SmackDown Live After WrestleMania

Things are about to change pretty quickly
Things are about to change pretty quickly

After experiencing one of the most disappointing 'Raw after WrestleMania' episode, WWE will be willing to end this entire WrestleMania week with a bang tonight with SmackDown Live.

The blue brand will be waltzing back to our screens and will be live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Considering that Vince McMahon put forward one of the greatest events in WrestleMania history, significant emphasis will be upon Becky Lynch and Kofi Kingston.

The Dreadlocked Dynamo astonished the WWE Universe by appearing on Monday Night Raw and while the company did tease a unification of both the World Championships, a last-minute disruption from The Bar coerced us to think otherwise.

The WWE Champion will continue the celebrations with The New Day, but we will certainly get more answers on how Vince McMahon deals with the entire KofiMania bandwagon.

Furthermore, Becky Lynch's heated brawl with Lacey Evans has opened the door for a feud between the two. However, the creative team have still not confirmed whether the titles will be unified or not.

With The Usos locking horns with The Hardy Boyz tonight for the SmackDown Tag-Team Championships, it seems like Vince McMahon could deliver something special tonight.

Here are the 5 biggest shockers WWE could be planning for SmackDown Live after WrestleMania 35.

#1 Kofi Kingston defends the WWE Championship against Ali

This could be interesting
This could be interesting

It's undeniable that Kofi Kingston deserves all the recognition that he has received over the past couple of months leading up to WrestleMania 35.

The former Intercontinental Champion realized his ultimate dream at The Show of Shows after defeating 'The New' Daniel Bryan to win the WWE Championship.

Since The New Day member is undoubtedly the biggest babyface in the entire company right now, it makes sense for him to prove his mettle as a fighting champion.

I genuinely believe that Kingston would give Mustafa Ali a solid opportunity tonight and we will see these two bring the house down in a solid opener for the blue brand.

#2 Paul Heyman returns to thank Shane McMahon and confirms Brock Lesnar will be joining the blue brand

The Beast will be in the mood to hunt
The Beast will be in the mood to hunt

Whilst I may end up being an unfortunate recipient of your harsh criticism here, but I definitely believe that WWE need to address Brock Lesnar's current status with the company.

There are multiple reports that have linked the former Universal Champion with SmackDown Live and considering the way he lost at WrestleMania, it definitely looks something shocking could happen tonight.

Paul Heyman stated being unhappy for Lesnar not being in the main event of WrestleMania 35 and this could lead to The Beast Incarnate join forces with the blue brand for the rest of 2019.

Furthermore, this would be an interesting way to bring more heat on Shane McMahon. A possible tease of Brock fighting for the WWE Championship at Saudi Arabia would be compelling enough to keep the heat on the former Universal Champion as well as Shane O'Mac.

#3 Asuka interrupts Becky Lynch and vows to reclaim the SmackDown Women's Championship

This needs to happen
This needs to happen

After making history in the main event of WrestleMania 35, Becky Lynch was involved in a blockbuster tussle with Lacey Evans on Monday Night Raw.

Since this seems to be the rumored feud heading into the summer, the company has still not given any significant explanation on why Asuka defended the gold against Charlotte some weeks ago.

If an element of realism can be brought here, we could see The Empress of Tomorrow confront The Man and ask for a blockbuster rematch.

Furthermore, Becky Lynch was outmatched by Asuka when they clashed in a slug-fest at Royal Rumble 2019 and if that aspect could be retained here, then we could very well see a legitimate feud between these two.

It would also make sense for Asuka to turn heel considering how poorly she has been presented as a babyface.

#4 Kevin Owens invites Samoa Joe to 'The Kevin Owens Show'

This has to mean something
This has to mean something

In my humble opinion, Kevin Owens deserves to be in the same league as A.J. Styles and Daniel Bryan on SmackDown Live despite being reduced to nothing but a talk-show host.

The former Universal Champion could make his intentions clear tonight. Inviting Samoa Joe to his talk show would be decisive in igniting a solid program between the two.

There's no denying that The Destroyer legitimately needs an interesting feud to cement his position as a main-event threat and a feud with Kevin Owens could do just that.

Moreover, Kevin's babyface run could get some significant spotlight here. His run as a babyface could get more interesting if he clashes with someone as menacing and as entertaining as Samoa Joe.

One can't help but admit that these two performers could really bring something special to the table and make things more interesting heading into the rest of 2019.

#5 A.J. Styles issues an open challenge which is answered by Matt Riddle

Does Riddle deserve the main roster spot?
Does Riddle deserve the main roster spot?

After proving his mettle as an in-ring performer against Velveteen Dream, Matt Riddle has now become a subject of debate on social media, with many WWE fans considering him 'too good for NXT'.

The former UFC sensation certainly possesses all the credentials that could make him the next big thing on the main roster and with Fox Sports starting a blockbuster deal with WWE, this could happen tonight.

I definitely see A.J. Styles doing something special tonight. The Phenomenal One's victory against Randy Orton has cemented his position as the greatest performer to ever represent the blue brand.

Having said that, an interesting way to keep his momentum going could see the former WWE Champion issue a solid Open Challenge tonight which could be answered by Matt Riddle.

Do you think Matt Riddle will shock the world tonight?
