EC3’s inclusion in the list of six NXT call-ups was confirmed weeks back, but EC3 and Lars Sullivan remained the only superstars who had not gotten any in-ring action on Raw or SmackDown.

This week, however, WWE shifted their focus to EC3 who first got a chance to talk on Alexa Bliss’ segment, and then got into an altercation with Dean Ambrose which resulted in a match between the two men.

While we aren’t really sure whether EC3 is a heel or a face on the main roster, however, we are sure that Ambrose entered the match as a heel. He was a great pick as EC3’s first opponent, as he is one of the top guys in the company, but is scheduled to leave soon.

In a surprising turn of events, EC3 picked up his first victory on the main roster against Ambrose, which shocked almost everyone.

Since losing the Intercontinental Championship to Bobby Lashley, Ambrose has seen a downward turn in his bookings, and this week was another proof of the same.

EC3’s clean victory over one of WWE’s top superstars in only his first match could signal a push for the newcomer, while further confirming that WWE is bidding farewell to Dean Ambrose.
