Following his unceremonious exit from the WWE and his announcement that he's retiring from professional wrestling altogether, CM Punk commenced training full-time at one of the most widely-respected MMA gyms in the world, Roufusport.

In a gym that is home to the likes of former UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony "Showtime" Pettis and reigning UFC Welterweight titlist Tyron "The Chosen One" Woodley, Punk found himself in one of the best places to help prepare him for his Mixed Martial Arts debut.

Regardless, Punk first fell by way of submission to Mickey Gall at UFC 203 back in September of 2016 and then dropped a Unanimous Decision to Mike Jackson at UFC 225 in June of this year -- making him 0-2 in the sport of MMA, having lost both of his fights in the UFC organization.

However, what we intend to highlight right here, is the fact that with UFC President Dana White having publicly confirmed that Punk won't ever fight again in the UFC, as well as Punk himself insinuating that his next MMA fight shall take place in a smaller organization. It has indeed been solidified that Phil Brooks is now in UFC Purgatory!

Punk isn't likely to fight in the world's biggest MMA promotion, the UFC, ever again, and with other companies logically paying him way less than the UFC; the man would be losing huge sums of money in his year-long training camps, only to probably get beaten up by a halfway-decent trained MMA professional.

Granted that Punk has saved up a decent amount of money from his WWE days, however, as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin often says, those bills never stop coming. Returning to the WWE is the very best option for Punk, especially since the WWE has previously extended the olive branch to him and invited him back to its roster...
