5 bold predictions for Braun Strowman's tag team partner at WrestleMania

The WWE Universe could be in for a treat at WrestleMania
The WWE Universe could be in for a treat at WrestleMania

Braun Strowman won the battle royal a few weeks ago on WWE Monday Night Raw that ensured that he would challenge for the Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania next weekend. Even though Strowman was able to win the match without a partner, it seems that General Manager Kurt Angle won't allow him to compete without a tag team partner.

Strowman's path of destruction over the past few months has ensured that he doesn't have a lot of friends backstage, which has him in a strange position when it comes to trying to find someone who will help him fight Cesaro and Sheamus in just over a week's time.

There have been a number of rumors surrounding the mystery partner with the likes of Samoa Joe and even Curt Hawkins being the favorites for the position right now, but it seems that there are a number of other stars waiting in the wings for the opportunity as well.

#5 Big Cass

Big Cass could be the man that Strowman calls upon

Logically there is no reason why Big Cass should partner Strowman, except for the fact that both Cass and Strowman are big men. Cass could learn a lot from tagging with 'The Monster Among Men', since it seems that he was struggling to become a singles star after he and Enzo Amore went their separate ways.

Cass was seen as a heel before he got injured but he wasn't very effective, so this could be WWE's way of reintroducing him as a face instead, since he did work much better as a tag team star and as a face throughout his time in NXT. The recent reports now suggest that Cass is ready to return and this would be the perfect way for him to make his return.

#4 The Big Show

The Big Show would be a surprise partner for The Monster Among Men
The Big Show would be a surprise partner for The Monster Among Men

The Big Show was last seen when he wrestled Braun Strowman in a steel cage match on Raw last year, and Strowman was able to defeat the giant, after which he threw him through the side of the cage and wrote him off TV.

The legend has undergone hip surgery in recent months which is why he's been away from WWE TV and even though his current medical status is unknown, he would be a perfect partner for the Monster. It could easily be added to the storyline that Strowman earned Show's respect in that match, so much so that he's happy to be his partner moving forward.

#3 Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose would definitely be a shock return next weekend
Dean Ambrose would definitely be a shock return next weekend

'The Lunatic Fringe' has been off WWE TV ever since he suffered a tricep injury back in December and it was reported that it could keep him on the shelf for up to nine months. A number of WWE stars have returned from the same injury in a fraction of the time, which has led to speculation that Dean Ambrose could be the man who decides to partner Strowman.

Ambrose has been pulled from Axxess signings during the WrestleMania weekend, which means that there could be something planned for the star on the day of the show instead. Don't forget that it was Cesaro and Sheamus who forced Ambrose onto the sidelines when he was attacked by the current Tag Team Champions and Samoa Joe last year.

This could be a huge return for WWE and one that could lead to an interesting partnership, after all, Ambrose has never cared about making friends, he will just be out for revenge.

#2 Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio would be quite a surprise if Strowman chose him as his partner
Rey Mysterio would be quite a surprise if Strowman chose him as his partner

Rey Mysterio rolled back the years when he appeared at the Royal Rumble back in January and proved that he still has what it takes to be a top star in WWE. Despite this, the company has found it hard to sign the "Master of the 619" to a contract in recent months.

Rey Mysterio and The Big Show were once part of the tag team that worked well against a number of opponents and it's easy to see Mysterio being able to do the same thing with someone like Braun Strowman if he is able to make his return to WrestleMania next weekend. It would also be a fantastic way to get Strowman over as an even bigger face in the company.

#1 Alexa Bliss

Alexa is definitley the best choice of opponent for Braun
Alexa is definitely the best choice of opponent for Braun

Let's be honest, the best part of the Mixed Match Challenge over the past few weeks has been watching Team Little Big get closer to the finals and there is no way that WWE set that up so that the WWE Universe would just forget about it.

Now, if Alexa Bliss wrestles Nia Jax earlier in the night and loses her Championship, then Strowman could be quite the gentleman and show Bliss a way to get another title, as his partner. Strowman doesn't need a partner, he proved that this week on Raw but if WWE is going to force him to have one, then why couldn't Strowman destroy Cesaro and Sheamus before he allows Alexa to get the pin?

With the likes of Ronda Rousey and Asuka set to dominate the Women's Division after WrestleMania, it seems that Bliss could do with some time away from it for a while.
