5 Booking options for Roman Reigns following The Greatest Royal Rumble

WWE has a number of options for Roman Reigns moving forward

Roman Reigns was defeated by Brock Lesnar for the second time in the space of a month at The Greatest Royal Rumble when it was revealed that Lesnar's feet touched the ground first so he had retained his Universal Championship, after being speared through the cage by Reigns.

There was no reason why Reigns was being given this rematch, so WWE would definitely have to clutch at straws to put the former World Champion back into a match against Lesnar in the near future, which means that he should move onto a much bigger feud now on the Raw roster.

#5 The Lone Wolf vs The Big Dog

Could Corbin go after Roman Reigns?
Could Corbin go after Roman Reigns?

The Superstar Shakeup allowed a number of fresh faces to make their way over to the Raw roster and one of those stars was Baron Corbin. "The Lone Wolf" is a former United States Champion and last year's Money in the Bank winner which means that he could easily find a way to pick a fight with Roman Reigns.

Vince McMahon has been said to be hot on both Corbin and Jinder Mahal over the past few months, but Mahal has only recently dropped out of the main event picture, whilst Corbin has been trying to climb his way back into it ever since he lost his Money in the Bank contract match last year.

There are big things expected of Baron Corbin now he's on Raw and taking out The Big Dog would definitely allow him to make the right kind of impression.

#4 Backlash Stipulation

Roman Reigns vs Samoa Joe has already been announced for Backlash
Roman Reigns vs Samoa Joe has already been announced for Backlash

Samoa Joe was unable to capture The Intercontinental Championship at The Greatest Royal Rumble, but he already revealed that he would be challenging Roman Reigns for a match at Backlash regardless of the outcome of Reigns vs Brock Lesnar.

An interesting stipulation to this match could be that it will decide the next challenger for Brock Lesnar. If Reigns claims that he never lost his match on Friday night because his feet did touch the ground first and that he demands a rematch, then Joe can make his way to the ring and tell him that he should be focused on his match at Backlash, before General Manager Kurt Angle can then make the announcement that if Reigns can get past Joe then he will face Brock Lesnar again for the final time, but if Joe wins then he is given another shot at The Beast.

#3 Bobby Lashley vs Roman Reigns

There's a reason they call Lashley
There's a reason they call Lashley "The Dominator"

Bobby Lashley has been the main focus of speculation over the past few months when it comes to his reasons for returning to WWE. Lashley's MMA background makes him the perfect level of competition for Brock Lesnar when The Beast decides his future with WWE, but Reigns might have something to say about this.

Reigns is going to keep pushing until there is some way that WWE will give him Lesnar again and this could be where Lashley decides to step in and inform the former World Champion that he has now lost twice to Lesnar and it's time for him to move on.

A match between Reigns and Lashley could then decide who will face Lesnar when he next returns to WWE in what would be an interesting confrontation, especially if no winner can be decided and Lesnar is put into another multi-man match.

#2 Money In The Bank

Could Rei
Could Reigns switch his focus to the Money In The Bank Contract?

The Money In The Bank ladder match is right around the corner and since now all WWE pay-per-views are dual branded, Roman Reigns would easily be able to make a case for being added to the briefcase match so that he can then challenge for the Universal Championship again.

There's no doubting that Reigns has been forced to work for his position in the company over the past few months, but having him hold the Money in the Bank case could be a great way for him to cash in ahead of SummerSlam and force Lesnar into giving him another Championship match.

Whilst this is a waste of a contract that could be used for a much more deserving star, it would be an interesting way for Reigns to force Lesnar into giving him another shot at that Championship in the coming months.

#1 Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam

Could Roman Reigns be given one last shot?
Could Roman Reigns be given one last shot?

It was quite blatant last night that Brock Lesnar lost the match to Roman Reigns since The Big Dog's feet touched the ground first but the referee's awarded the match to Lesnar. Whether this was a botch or a way for Reigns to now call out Lesnar on the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw still remains to be seen.

Lesnar is thought to be taking some time away from the company in the coming months which could be why Reigns has moved on to a feud with Samoa Joe, which isn't expected to last very long with both men on opposite brands.

Reigns could plant the seeds for another rematch this week on Raw by stating that he actually won that match, that would give him enough of a claim to take on The Beast again and set up a final title match between the two heavyweights in the near future.
