5 crazy dream matches WWE could book for WrestleMania 35

The
The location of next year's WrestleMania - MetLife Stadium

WWE WrestleMania is referred to as The Biggest Event of the Year, The Grandest Stage of Them All, and The Showcase of Immortals. It is without doubt the greatest spectacle in sports entertainment history. Next year's WrestleMania is set to take place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

WWE pulls out all the stops to ensure that each WrestleMania is a memorable spectacle for the ages. Over the past few years, we have seen many dream matches which were deemed impossible once upon a time take place at WrestleMania.

At this year's WrestleMania, we saw AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura square off in WWE for the first time, and we also witnessed a mega dream match between The Undertaker and John Cena. Last year we saw Seth Rollins take on Triple H, and saw Brock Lesnar and Goldberg battle in a match that wasn't hijacked.

WrestleMania has been home to crazy dream matches in the past like The Rock vs John Cena, and The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels. Given that WWE has a loaded roster with indie darlings and popular stars, the prospect of witnessing a legitimate dream match isn't a pipe-dream anymore.

Let's take a look at 5 crazy dream matches that could happen at next year's WrestleMania.

#5 Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair

Do you want to see these two stars face off?

Ronda Rousey is WWE's biggest female attraction at the moment, and Charlotte is arguably the best female in-ring wrestler in WWE. Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte will be a match for the ages, and could possibly be the biggest women's match in professional wrestling.

This match is already rumored to main-event next year's WrestleMania, and there's a fine chance that we might see that become a reality.

Rousey has dominated the women's division on Raw, it's extremely crazy to think that Rousey wasn't even in WWE a year ago. Now she's at the pinnacle of Raw's women division. Similarly, Charlotte is at the top of SmackDown's women division, and 'The Queen' has overcome almost every woman on WWE's roster en route to becoming a top star, with the exception of Ronda Rousey.

Although this match could happen at Survivor Series in a champion vs champion match, i am of the opinion that it should take place at WrestleMania with Charlotte as the challenger.

#4 Aleister Black vs 'Demon' Finn Balor

E
Aleister Black is currently out with injury

Aleister Black suffered a legitimate injury a few weeks prior to NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. He was written off television with a mysterious assault at the hands of an unknown assailant in a parking lot.

Black has done everything in NXT, and his main roster promotion is long overdue. I expect him to exact revenge on his assailant and jump ship to the main roster as a surprise entry in the Royal Rumble match next year.

Finn Balor has been lost as a babyface on the main roster, and has been embroiled in a lacklustre feud with Baron Corbin for over 3 months now. Balor's sorrowful place in Raw's hierarchy is disturbing to watch, however a feud with Aleister Black, and a heel turn could be all that he needs to revitalise himself.

A feud with Black could be the catalyst for a heel turn for 'The Demon King'. This feud is only fit for a grand stage such as WrestleMania, and it could happen as soon as next year. The entrances alone would be a magnificent sight to behold.

#3 Daniel Bryan vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Nakamura ruined Styles vs Bryan

This is the only dream match that hasn't been done on WWE programming ever since Daniel Bryan made his fantastic return to in-ring competition. You could only expect that WWE has saved this mega showdown for a bigger occasion like Royal Rumble or Survivor Series, but it doesn't get any bigger than WrestleMania.

Bryan and Nakamura have similar career paths, with both men making the big leagues in the WWE through sheer grit and determination. Bryan has faced AJ Styles (which was cut short by Nakamura's interference), Samoa Joe, and Jeff Hardy in a few months upon return.

Watching those matches again wouldn't be bad, but those dream matches have lost their first-time appeal. Nakamura vs Bryan has never happened before on WWE programming, but we could see that come to fruition in the foreseeable future.

Given than Bryan is a babyface, and Nakamura is a heel, there's absolutely nothing that's stopping WWE from doing this match, so what are they waiting for?

#2 Samoa Joe (c) vs John Cena for the WWE Championship

WWE SummerSlam 2015
John Cena

It's inevitable that Samoa Joe will become WWE Champion in the near future, and he could do that as soon as Hell in a Cell in September. After Joe defeats Styles, he could tear through the entire SmackDown roster.

John Cena is bound to return to WWE around WrestleMania season, thus it's highly likely that WWE would book a dream match between the two icons at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship.

WWE has teased this match on numerous occasions, but the match never happened as Joe got injured every time this match was teased. A dream match of such caliber should happen at WrestleMania, as wrestlers tend to take fewer risks prior to WrestleMania.

This match has the ability to steal the show on any given night. John Cena's seventeenth World Title reign will be historic, and such a feat is only worth achieving at WrestleMania.

#1 The Rock vs Roman Reigns

Ent
Will we see the two cousins square off?

The Rock has been heavily rumored to make a stunning comeback to the ring in recent weeks. In fact, recent betting odds suggest that he is the leading favorite to win the Royal Rumble match.

If The Rock is to return to the ring, a feud with his cousin should be the most logical step for him.

Roman Reigns is the current Universal Champion, and it's a possibility that a match between the two Anoa'i family members could take place at WrestleMania for the Universal Championship. However, that seems extremely unlikely.

Reigns would have to turn heel for this match as there's no chance he'll be cheered over the popular Brahma Bull. This match has the appeal of the The Rock vs John Cena, a match that took place at the highest grossing WrestleMania of all time. The Rock vs Roman Reigns would be the biggest main-event in recent memory.
