The six-man tag team match between the New Day and the Bar and the Miz was a barnburner. The match featured terrific high-flying spots from Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods and hard-hitting strikes from Sheamus and Cesaro. In the closing stages of the match, Big E had hit the Miz with the Big Ending and won the match.
In a trivial moment, Big E went for the cover on Cesaro. He couldn't win the match then, but the cameraman caught up with a sign reading "Free Kofi." The fan rightly expressed his dissatisfaction on the way Kofi Kingston is being booked.
In 2009, he was on the verge of receiving a huge singles push. A couple of singles win over Randy Orton was seen as an indication towards the supposed push. However, Kofi's push was rumoured to have stopped because he didn't sell one of Orton's moves correctly. We don't know if there is any truth to it. But since then, he has only fallen backward.
