Johnny Gargano and Drew McIntyre have never crossed paths in WWE, and thus, only a limited section of the WWE Universe knows about their tag team history.
When WWE released McIntyre, the Scottish Warrior signed with EVOLVE Wrestling. Drew Galloway, as he was known in the promotion, teamed up with Gargano in 2016 to take part in the EVOLVE Tag Team Tournament.
The newly-formed team went on to win the tournament and became the first-ever EVOLVE Tag Team Champions. They defeated Chris Hero and Tommy End in the final but did not hold on to the titles for long.
After dropping the titles to Drew Gulak and Tracy Williams, Drew turned on his tag team partner and aligned himself with EC3.
Both Superstars made their way to WWE, but have never been crossed paths. While Gargano is enjoying his time in NXT, McIntyre has become a two-time WWE Champion and held the title for nearly 11 months. It is highly unlikely that fans will see them paring up in WWE.
