#4 Randy Orton (WWE RAW)

Speaking of prime contenders to break the 16 world championships record in WWE, the one male superstar closest to breaking it is Randy Orton. The Apex Predator is one of the most accomplished WWE Superstars with 14 world titles. He is a grand slam champion, two-time Royal Rumble winner, Money in the Bank winner, and so much more.

Randy Orton is also one of the only few Attitude Era superstars who is still an active full-time in-ring competitor. Signing with the promotion all the way back in 2001, Orton has been part of several memorable storylines. While he might never have gotten the title of the "Face of WWE", he has always been at the top of the WWE mountain throughout his two-decade-long career.

Randy Orton was one of the most featured stars last year, impressing the fans with his character work as a vicious heel, bringing back his "Legend Killer" persona. Currently, he is teaming up with Riddle on Monday Night RAW as R-K-Bro, a tag team that is being absolutely loved by the WWE Universe.

Considering how big a legacy he has had and the fact that he still continues to perform at the top level, Randy Orton is another superstar who Vince McMahon might never release from WWE.
