5 current WWE stars that you might not know are fathers

There's been a number of pregnancy announcements going through the pro wrestling world in recent weeks - with Sarah Logan announcing that she and her husband Erik (of the Viking Raiders) are expecting their first child, whilst Becky Lynch stole the show with her own pregnancy announcement following Money in the Bank. Lynch has since taken maternity leave as she prepares for her first child with fellow WWE star and fiance Seth Rollins.

Whilst the female wrestlers in WWE are forced to announce their pregnancies because of the obvious issues with performing, the men can continue to perform up until their child is born and the WWE Universe is only made aware of the pregnancy following its actual birth.

Earlier this year, Roman Reigns and Jason Jordan both announced that they had become fathers, whilst Angelo Dawkins' wife is due to give birth to their first child in the coming weeks.

Here are five current main roster WWE stars that you might not have realized have children, too.

#5. Cedric Alexander

Many members of the WWE Universe may be aware that Cedric Alexander is married to AEW star Big Swole. The couple has been together for several years and as well as being split between two of the biggest wrestling companies in the world, the couple also have a daughter.

Alexander may be languishing in the Tag Team Ddivision in WWE at present, whilst his wife tears it up in the AEW Women's Division, but their five-year-old daughter seems to be the perfect support network for both of them.

Alexander and Swole only married back in 2018, but their daughter Adessah was born back in 2014 and the couple has since been able to juggle their flourishing wrestling careers alongside raising a small child.

Swole and Alexander often update images of their daughter online, where it's clear that they are all very close.

#4. Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe is a former NXT Champion and was once a legend in Impact and Ring of Honor, but since his promotion up to the main WWE roster, the Samoan Submission Machine has been plagued by injuries.

Joe is currently on WWE TV as a commentator after suffering a concussion back in January, with WWE then finding it hard to clear the former Champion for action. The company has a certain protocol when it comes to concussions and it appears that Joe can't be cleared for action with WWE at this current moment in time.

Whilst Samoa Joe keeps his personal life as private as possible, there are a few moments that the former Champion has let small things slip. Joe is married to a woman named Jessica and the couple have been together now for more than 13 years.

Joe tweeted back in 2017 about his youngest child where he talked about their love of the anime Hajime no Ippo. This is the first time that Joe has publicly mentioned his family and the wording of the tweet makes it clear that Joe has more than one child.

#3. Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali hasn't had the best 2020 (although... who has?) since many believed that the new hacker gimmick could have been his way of finally being pushed into an interesting storyline. Ali was the man who's injury gifted Kofi Kingston the run to the WWE Championship at WrestleMania last year and, despite being best known for his time in the Cruiserweight Division, Ali was never able to lift that division's championship.

Life inside a WWE ring may be looking bleak for the SmackDown superstar, but life outside of WWE for the former police officer has been interesting. Ali and his wife have two children - a daughter named Amara who has been spotted on WWE TV a number of times and his son Rayaan, who the couple welcomed into the world back in 2017.

Mustafa Ali and his wife Uzma are very public about their personal life, but it's clear that Ali is a dedicated father since he shares videos online of birthday celebrations with his daughter as well as posts whenever he's able to go home and see his family.

#2. Wesley Blake

Wesley Blake was once NXT Tag Team Champions alongside Buddy (now know as simply) Murphy, and their success came back in 2015 before the team split and Alexa Bliss headed to the main roster. Blake has since been off-screen for a number of years before his career was given a huge boost when he became one-third of The Forgotten Sons alongside Steve Cutler and Jaxson Ryker.

The trio were recently promoted to the SmackDown roster, but controversial comments by Ryker on social media have meant that they have been taken off WWE TV for the time being.

Whilst much of the attention was on Murphy and Bliss' relationship whilst the team was down in NXT, Blake was in his own relationship with WWE's 2015 Tough Enough winner Sara Lee. The latter was released from WWE back in September 2016 before the duo took to social media to announce that they were expecting their first child.

Lee later gave birth to a daughter they named Piper in May 2017 before the couple married in December 2018. They announced that they were expecting their second child, a son named, Brady in 2019.

#1. Matt Riddle

Matt Riddle was recently promoted to the SmackDown roster and has since become one of the biggest stars on the brand. Riddle comes from an MMA background and WWE can realistically give him a push the size of Brock Lesnar's in his early days.

Whilst Riddle has been having a lot of personal issues in recent weeks, it's worth noting that the star is a devoted family man outside of WWE. In contrast to his 'Bro' persona when he steps into the ring, Riddle has three children waiting for him when he returns through the curtain.

The Super King of the Bro's and his wife Lisa Renee have twin daughters and a son together. The couple were married back in 2011 and have since welcomed Allison, Amy and Zachary to their family while Riddle has continued to pursue a career in combat sport.

Riddle took to Twitter at the tail end of last year where he was able to perfectly sum up his last decade in his own words, ahead of his promotion to WWE's main roster earlier this year.
