#3 WWE Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews

Before 2021, Apollo Crews spent the entirety of his WWE career as a babyface. He would constantly smile, but barely had any character development to complement his incredible in-ring skills.

While a run as United States Champion improved his stock last year, Crews truly became a force in the company when he turned heel at the expense of Big E. Since then, he has been vicious and unapologetic in his approach, going back to his Nigerian roots to cultivate his new identity.

Crews has been successful as a heel so far. He won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 37, while gaining a muscle in the form of Commander Azeez. Even when he drops the Nigerian gimmick, expect him to remain a heel in WWE.

Fans were not entirely behind Apollo Crews during his babyface run, which might not lead to an overwhelming desire to see him return as one. He has found his spot as a solid bad guy on SmackDown and could explore other options as a heel.

What if MVP recruited Crews and Azeez into a new-look Hurt Business after the 2021 Draft?
