Rusev has the talent, the look and the charisma to be a top Champion in WWE, but ever since his first loss to John Cena at WrestleMania 31, the company has decided to turn it's back on the 'Super Athlete'. We've seen it happen before with the likes of Zack Ryder, as WWE don't like people getting over if they don't want them too, and ultimately, it turns out that Rusev was just way more popular than WWE ever wanted him to be.

He's been teasing that he'll leave the company for quite some time now, but given the amount of time he and his wife Lana get on SmackDown Live these days, there's no way he can be happy with his current situation. He'll likely not ask for a release, as that hasn't worked for many people over the past year, but when his contract with WWE is up, he'll be looking to explore greener pastures.
