Sabatino Piscitelli, who is also known as Tino Sabbatelli, is currently signed to the WWE and is competing in the NXT brand. His most notable storyline on NXT is being involved in a tag team with Riddick Moss. However, that team came to an end when Sabbatelli betrayed Moss by turning on him.

However, Sabbatelli has had an intriguing run in the American football world as he played in the NFL for 6 years in the Safety position. He played for three teams: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs.

Sabbatelli was an honourable mention for the All-Pac-10 twice in 2004 and 2005. In 2006, Sabbatelli had finally achieved a spot on the First Team All-Pac-10. Overall, he has also had 188 tackles in the NFL as well as 5 interceptions and 15 pass deflections.

Unfortunately for Sabbatelli, he is currently out of action with a torn pectoral muscle injury which happened at the end of April 2018 as it had left him sidelined for over 9 months. However, he has undergone successful surgery as he could potentially return to NXT anytime soon in 2019.

The former Hype Bro Mojo Rawley is currently assigned to the Raw brand and he has been floundering recently on the main roster. He has also previously been on Smackdown, where he managed to win The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 33.

Over the last few weeks on Raw, we have seen segments from Rawley which suggest a potential character change is on the cards for him.

Rawley also played in the NFL for two years, but he has a very long background of playing amateur football in college as well.

He played for the Green Bay Packers briefly as a Defensive End and Nose Guard. The Arizona Cardinals is another team that Rawley has played for.

However, Rawley then got injured during a camp in training. This led to Rawley spending 18 months to rehabilitate from his injury before he signed with the WWE in 2012 after deciding he wanted to be a professional wrestler.

#3 Baron Corbin

Corbin.

Thomas Pestock, also known as 'The Lone Wolf' Baron Corbin has been heavily featured on Raw in 2018 and 2019 so far as has previously played the character of "Constable Baron Corbin" where he was an authority figure on Raw. Corbin also has a two-year background in playing for the NFL.

Corbin played for the Indianapolis Colts for a year before also playing for the Arizona Cardinals for two years. Despite playing for the NFL, Corbin only played four games, where he gained two wins and two losses.

It was clear that he wasn't going anywhere as he was constantly being released by his teams, therefore he signed with the WWE in August 2012.

In 2019, Corbin is currently embroiled in a rivalry with Braun Strowman, whilst also having issues with Kurt Angle at the same time which means that he is wrestling in an effective role.

However, Corbin has also been a two-time Kansas-Missouri Golden Gloves regional champion which makes him successful in the world of Amateur Boxing.

#2 Roman Reigns

The Big Dog is one of the most well-known WWE superstars today, as Roman Reigns was the face of the company until he took a hiatus after being diagnosed with real-life leukemia.

However, Reigns has had a very successful career in the WWE as he is a Grand Slam Champion, having most notably held the WWE Championship three times. He is also the cousin of WWE legend in The Rock, and has been in the main event Wrestlemania many times.

But before Reigns wrestled, he was also playing in the NFL for two years as Joe Anoaʻi in the Defensive tackle position. Reigns played for three teams: the Minnesota Vikings, Jacksonville Jaguars, as well as the Edmonton Eskimos.

Reigns only had 9 tackles whilst being in the NFL, which lead to him retiring from professional American football in 2008 and signing with the WWE.

#1 Brock Lesnar

The Beast
The Beast

And finally, Brock Lesnar is the most decorated athlete on this list which is why he comes at number one. He has competed in the UFC, where he was one of the biggest box-office attractions at the time, having also been the UFC World Heavyweight Champion.

The Beast is currently wrestling in the WWE on a part-time deal on Raw where he is the Universal Champion. All in all, Lesnar has also held multiple world titles on WWE, having also been the superstar to break The Undertaker's historic undefeated streak at Wrestlemania 30.

However, after Lesnar left the WWE in 2004, he signed a contract with the NFL as he played for the Minnesota Vikings in the Defensive tackle position.

He played during many pre-season matches for the team, as well as receiving an opportunity to play in the NFL Europa, but The Beast refused because he wanted to stay with his family in the US.

Whilst his career in the NFL wasn't successful, it's clear that Lesnar still went out to try something fresh for a new experience.
